Doo - Get Things Done App Reviews

I LOVE the Doo app. I got it when it first came out & I really appreciate it being both Mac-iphone and the simplicity carries across the too platforms seamlessly. I actually use Doo as a companion app to a heavier GTD app. I manage the big picture of my life in those apps but I use DOO app for the things I need to do for a single day only. Doo is so helpful because its so easy to swipe through and not get overwhelmed by the heaviness of the bigger apps. Its light, simple, beautiful and ridiculously inexpensive for keeping a person sane. Thanks to the developer for making this so easy to use and for continuing to develop it. Its a beautiful app and it’s simplicty is why I use it to actually get things done.

This update is radical, the widget especially looks much better, and takes up WAY less space, I dont even have to open the app to see what I need to do...or doo

I like this app. Its easy to use, its more tactile, very simple, and allows for pruning your to do list based on time. This app will probably work for a whole lot of people, but I kinda wish there was subtasking and feedback. I like being able to see progress. It keeps me motivated. Maybe that means adding check boxes to the notes section, grouping cards and displaying % complete per group in a creative way, or an excited animated person hiding behind every card that progressively gets more excited as the card moves upward. Displaying progress will make this pleasantly tactile app the best choice for task management. Honestly, Id give you another star just for adding check boxes in the notes but Im open to alternatives. :)

I really like this app, but a couple of weeks ago it started crashing. I contacted customer support and they got back to me that day and tried to help with the problem. We couldnt get the app working, so they had me send the diagnostics to see if there was something in the code. Within in a day or two they told me to download the update. Low and behold the app opened up right up after the download and Ive continued using the app. In the end theyre still are a couple bugs, but Doo has a great support staff to go along with an easy to use app, and thats why they get 5 stars.

When I snooze something, I really need the option of when I want to snooze it till. My tasks are not always at the same time the next day!! Please add a pop up when I snooze something to let me choose when I want to snooze it till. (See swipes for this they do it very well!) Now, if I create a task with no timeframe and then want to later add a time it takes about 5 steps!! Please make this easier as well!! All in all a great app that could use a little improving!!!!

Its very easy to use and the animations are fun. I love the card based approach as well. Its fun to navigate back by swiping away cards. I might suggest lists for a future release, although I understand that they were likely omitted in the name of simplicity and ease of use.

I love the aesthetic and underlying philosophy of task organization, but it still needs work I think. need a way to organize cards, and adding sub tasks would be nice. I just feel like theres a lot of wasted space right now that could be used while keeping the vision the developer has.

Really like the card approach to tasks -- feels satisfying when I complete each to do. Illustrations are playful and excellent (would like an option to not have illustrations though). Nicely done.

I love this app already I just wish there was a way to change the snooze duration presets and change the snooze option on the fly.

Great interface, but I NEED it to synch with my apple calendar app! That would streamline my whole process.Also, the reminder alarm should be separate from the due date. I want a reminder the day before, and the way things stand, my whole schedule is shifted one day forward, very confusing. I also cant rotate between my current reminders. I want to be able to flip my cards around! I want to see this app grow because it starts out well enough, but it could be much more!

Great product that keeps myself and staff on point every day. Its user friendly, clean, and beautiful!

Im in love with the design and overall concept of Doo. Everything about the app is well executed. In a future update, I would really like to see the ability to add multiple stacks, and to rearrange the order of the cards.

Pretty good! Simple and keeps your tasks in front of you one at a time so you dont feel overwhelmed. One suggestion... Location based "sets" of reminders. That way my reminders for home show when I am there and my tasks for work show when I am at work. Would make this a killer app! 4 stars but would be 5 with location sets.

This app from a UX standpoint is an absolute mess. I have 3 tasks today but when i open the app it says Im clear. I know Im not! I shouldnt have to swipe to the right to see what tasks I have coming up. The days tasks should show on the landing page.

So I been trying different types of to do apps and I have to say. They are all either to much to handle or to much work has to be done to make it just right. I love the simplicity of adding something and being able to breath. Also the reminders are amazing. They are exactly what I needed. I understand that its still a new app but things that I would love on the future updates are 1. Having a motivational cheer everytime you accomplish something you been working on for a while. Not all the time. 2. Being able to pick the amount of time you would like to snooze the card for. Just having the option is great but Im still in love with the " either you do it in 15 minutes or you do it in an hour or else its not going to get done so well set it for tomorrow type of strategy lol. 3. Integrate with siri. I love talking to siri all the time. Helps me put a reminder in about 5 seconds when I cant open an app and write down what I need to do and set the reminder. 4. Added bonus. Maybe having a voice say Great Job on that task "Waskan". Thats my name. Just to keep me motivated to keep using the app. Overall I decided to give this app

This is a very well made app! I enjoy the simplicity of the reminders, and it does help me focus on one task at a time. As this app is still new, here is some feedback that about features that will appear in future updates. •Location-based reminders •Siri compatibility •Timed reminders (for example, Remind me about this in 30 minutes) •custom snooze time •the iCloud sync feature doesnt seem to be working on my phone. This may be a bug. I will continue to use this app, and I hope there will continue to be updates to make it even better!

Excellent concept and to some extent perfect as is. But a few extra features would make this much more awesome. How about the ability to sort tasks? Maybe categories/tags that let us focus on certain types of task like home, school or work.

Well done for a new app, I enjoy using it. Bigger fonts in the Notes field would be excellent, they are a bit difficult to read now.
