Doo - Get Things Done App Reviews

Cute app

Good app, nice design. Need to add a feature so you can change the order of the cards without snoozing or completing them.

More school related graphics!

Aesthetically, the app is certainly worth $4.99. Otherwise, it lacks functionality. I would like to see the integration of: (1) the ability to view all cards in the main stack simultaneously, (2) more graphics for things pertaining to studying/reading (because lets be honest I use this mainly for tests, projects and school related reminders), (3) more graphics in general. Good start though. (4) APPLE WATCH SUPPORT!

Not worth the price!

This app isnt worth $4.99. Its just a reminder app like the one on your iPhone, just with more graphics. The reminder app on my iPhone is worth more than Doo!!! The sad part about it is the purchase was accidental.

Doesnt fulfill a need

I agree with everybody else, NEED to be able to swipe through the cards without snoozing or completing them. Also, its no more special than the stock iPhone reminders app, just looks a lot cooler. I got it because you can set repeated reminders easier and based on day of week, ect. Summary, its cool but doesnt fulfill a need, just looks nicer.

Wish List

I love the simplicity and visual nature of the app. Not sure its worth $4.99 right now, but then iOS development isnt free, either! Here is my wish list: • Badge notifications, please! • One tap to swap card and list views • Some way to see all cards behind the front card (without risking completing or postponing it); compact card view? • Examples of different kinds of content allowed in the Notes section; maybe icons to add different kinds?

An absolute joy to use

Doo helps me quickly and easily stay on top of all the little things I need to do. Best of all it does it beautifully and actually makes it fun to stay organized and on track. I love it!

No stack of cards

Doesnt work on my iPhone. All I get is a list, no stack of cards. Waste of money!

Trap

Wasted $5 on this limited task managing app. Its all a bunch of UI fluff

Great idea, pretty, but lacking

This app is close to being phenomenal, but its missing such important functions that it is not usable. One MUST be able to swipe through the cards without snoozing them. Otherwise, the app is useless. My rating will go up with this functionality is added.

Waste

No cards, just a list of projects. Waste of my money.

Beautiful and productive app!

Very beautifully designed app, and helps me with my everyday tasks. It has helped me with staying organized with school as well.

I like it!

I would like to be able to put more details into a task- maybe subtasks and intelligent input (add time and date to a task while while creating it). Is a Mac OS app in the works? Please keep the updates coming! :)

Great looking app, but not functional for everyone

Two huge things kept me from being able to use this app: 1) you bizarrely cant seem to flip through your tasks, and 2) snoozed tasks disappear after you snooze them until the designated time they are supposed to reappear. I understand these are features, and that some may prefer them, but for me it makes the app totally unusable.

Clever, Beautiful, & Useful — A Well Thought Out Ode App of Ergonomics

I love the simplicity and charm of this app. The design is thoughtful and is a smart way to reinvent the concept of a "to do" list for the form and function of mobile devices. It does so with "just enough" fun and charisma without being super-duper "skeuomorphic". I would love to see more illustrations about writing, chores — you know — stuff that people do (or should be doing) on a regular basis? As for some of the negative reviews posted? (PS: I am in no way affiliated with the developers, and I paid full price for the app and know good design when I see it). I dont think some of the reviewers really understand the concept behind this app: Does it allow you to see every card in the stack by shuffling through them? No — but thats not the point ... The point is to make you more productive by having to address each and every item by making a DECISION about each item. If you dont want an item to keep appearing, snooze it for a longer period by holding down on the clock and giving that item a date in the future. The thing is — Ive used to-do apps that "build up" and show you everything in the planet youve ever written down — but these apps soon become less useful because you eventually become overwhelmed at the size of your list. This app helps you counter that by forcing you to address each item, and having a clear state of mind by reaching "inbox zero". I love it.

Fancy Decorated Cards?

How do I see the fancy, illustrated cards as an option?

Good start, potential to be great

So far so good, but could be great with following features: Artificial intelligence which uses location (e.g., when you are at work you only see work tasks and when you are home you only see personal tasks, or when you are by particular store to make a purchase, etc.), task priority, start and due date, and task duration (taking into account how much free time you have until next appointment through calendar integration) to make more relevant suggestions.

New way of checking off the to-dos!

Update: Got to love a dev who listens to requests. Awesome swiping and flipping through the stack and yet still keeping the simplicity!

Beautiful and Simple

A breath of fresh air compared to other task managers. Lets me focus on getting things done.

Everything its supposed to be

If you love card based interfaces and to-do lists, this is the perfect app for you. It looks and feels slick as youre using it and the swipe gestures are really satisfying. You can even swipe cards to the back without snoozing them in this latest update. It has all the features I want, but more importantly, nothing I dont.

Better than stock Reminders App

Love the App. I use it everyday. One suggestion - Can you find a way to add pictures to my reminders? Sometimes I need a visual for certain things and I would love to put my own photos instead of your stock pictures on my reminders. Just an idea. Ill keep using it either way.
